The setting was ideal and quiet, just off Nice Etoile, the large shopping mall, the station and town centre and the railway station and airport bus. The staff and people generally were competent and useful.

The cleanliness at Saint Georges is a real joke, I mean, a wine cork under the bed? Who doesn't check? Oh, and the toilet paper? Simply horrid. I almost gave a good review, but then, utterly ridiculous, no one offered a room upgrade for my troubles. Pathetic. Will not be back, unless I want to be disappointed again.

All the staff were very kind and helpful. Some spoke English and with my limited French, we got friendly with the others. It is well located. Rooms facing the rear would be quieter than the front but it was not unduly noisy.
Proper fresh orange juice as part of the breakfast would, considering the price, be welcome and a hook for hanging some clothes on bathroom door would be very helpful.

The hotel was clean, well run, friendly staff, very nice all around. It was very convenient to the train station, which we used for jaunts to Monaco. It was a bit of a hike to the beach, but the tram line is very close. I'd go back.
While Booked.net said the continental breakfast was included, the hotel claimed that it was only free on weekends, at the substantially higher room rate. But to the hotel's credit, they checked online and gave us credit for the two days of breakfasts.

The location is perfect for exploring nearby attractions and the beach, making every outing enjoyable.
The cleanliness of the room was unacceptable. There were visible marks and a strong smell that was quite off-putting.

Couple's getaway, but pricey
The location was amazing! Everything you need-restaurants, shops, beach-was just a stroll away. And the room, while small, was clean and had a nice modern vibe. It's like they took a compact space and made it cozy.
It wasn't cheap but acceptable for what you get.

It was quiet in the morning when we woke up---no sounds of traffic. I enjoyed hearing the birds singing. The air conditioning worked and did not blow directly on us as some hotels have. helpful staff who were friendly.
The main aspect I didn't like is the wireless internet. We couldn't connect in the room which was on the 2nd floor. In the lobby we could, but as we walked upstairs the signal was lost. Staff didn't tell us that.

The room was quite large for a 2 star hotel. The location is excellent, not far from the central train station and the Promenade des Anglais. The hotel is on a quiet street.

The St Georges Hotel was convenient, being near to the Gare sncf Nice. It had all the simple facilities we needed. The Receptionist was personable and spoke good English.
The St George Hotel was practical rather than pretty, which was fine for a brief over-night stay.
